Music Legendary Super Star Cyndi Lauper is up in arms over Mitt Romney using her version of True Colors in one of his attack ads. Cyndi made a statement that she is a President Obama Supporter, and that she is supporting him for re election in 2012.

What really upset Cyndi Lauper was not just that he used the song with out her permission, but he used in such negative way, she claims destroys what the song was written for. " I wrote True Colors to uplift people as a form of healing" Cindi states.

Right now all we know is that Cyndi has asked for the ad to be removed. No word yet of a law suit, but in my opinion, she needs to sue his pants off!

I came across a video that a friend of mine posted on Facebook today. It was called The Shit Homophobes say. I was thinking it was going to be a laugh to listen to those bigots ridcule us, because of their ignorance, but the words sparked me up to write this blog post. Those words are so damaging because the other ignorant people are going to follow them! It really does prove that our society today, is more closed minded then open minded due to the fact that 48 percent of the country is still in favor of these ignorant individuals.

My good friend Ann Coulter (COUGH COUGH) made the comment in one of the many times she speaks to spread hate, said that the true gays that were born gay are the conservatives, but the rest of us angry gays are not born this way and that we have an issue with our fathers. Now this is not in exact wording as she said it, but its the same. Listen for yourself when you watch the video. Now getting back to my point, did this bitch have a problem with her mother? Because with her wanting woman to obey their men, and to send our not only human rights but civil rights back about 50 years! If anybody pays to read what this woman says, needs to have their values questioned on what they really feel as a human being. This woman is the most vile, stench form of human being.

Then Michelle Bachmans husband is on there calling us Barbarians! I know Ann Coulter has been around for a while, but since the elections started up, I am seeing more idiots come out of the rocks then I have in my whole life! Now with 48% following these, that is a large amount of teachers for future generations. This is why we need to speak out when we see injustices to peoples human rights!

I am not saying I dislike the video, I think we all need to watch it to see how some of the community leaders view us and remind us, we still have a long way to go for acceptance.

The thing that we don't understand is that America was telling her to drop out before she even ran. She claimed like Rick Perry that God told her to run. Why would God tell someone to run, to just drop out at the beginning of the race?  What I find even more astonishing is that Michelle Bachmann is against Gays, and is also too conservative, and she thinks her crap don't stink, that she was faced with demonstrators at her Waterloo headquarters during the Caucaus that she went in the back door in order to not have to talk to them.

Apparently she thinks that because shes running for President of the United States that she dosent have to talk to the people that will vote her in. Michelle Bachman has been seen many times not answering questions forwardly, and dodging people that dont agree with her. Its is a great day though for the LGBT Community to know that shes not running due to the fact, she didnt consider us human beings with rights as everybody else.

Not only was she against gays, but she was against anybody that was not in her social stature. Well enough being wasted on her, shes out of the running, now we need to focus on getting people aware on Santorums views on Homosexuality, being black, and being low and mid class, because apparently hes better then everybody else too!

The Salvation Army has a stance on LGBT Community saying that if they are true christians they would abstain from sex since there are no true scriptures condoning same sex marriage. This has brought much rage against the Salvation Army espically in the LGBT Community. Read the full story at the Huffington Post.

I keep hearing that Homosexuality is spreading like cancer, and that were the reasons that the world is coming to an end. This kind of absurd ignorance has really been pissing me off lately. Churches that are against homosexuality will say whatever they will say in order to convince people that homosexuality is a sin, and is a total disrespect of GOD. However they who throw the stones, are creating and committing their own sins by judging us and everybody else they claim they want to change in the name of God.

Churches and Conservative politicians are trying to mix religion and state, which in a way is against our constitution but also taking God out of our government could be a very bad thing too. The only problem is that we need real Christians to teach people about God, not the conservative right wing nut jobs such as the Westboro Baptist Church.

Ignorance is spreading because of people like Westboro who are saying that America is allowing homosexuality is going to cause the collapse of our great nation. They also believe that their woman are the sole purpose of serving their men. Its a crazy group of radicals that should not have tax exempt status at all. They are anti American and to me they are Anti Christ! Christ does not want so much hate in this world.

Did you know that Jesus Christ had gay followers? YES HE DID, and also its in the bible which I will remind you was wrote by man that no one judges others as that is left up to the Holy father in heaven. However most people dont want to live by that. They want to use religion to how it benefits them and their own personal beliefs. When doing this you are creating a void of hate towards other human beings.

This same kind of ignorance and hate that is spreading to our children for generations, and in our schools causing the teen suicides and bullying problems. When will this kind of absurd act stop? Well it stops by the rest of us standing up to these kind of organizations and tell them we have had enough!

So please when you see ignorance like this that is based on race, sexuality, or because someone is different, please stand up against it and let the other person know how ignorant they appear to the world. We need to start making this place a better place now for our future generations to come.

I am not saying that we shouldnt fight for Gay marriage, but did we really put our good foot forward when it was time we shortly taught people about acceptance? Education should come first before action, and then we will be able to lessen Homophobia, teach the younger generation that its ok to be different, and words hit just as hard as a fist.
 We need to shift the LGBT focus on School and Teenage bullying. How many of our younger generation, are we going to allow them to be forced to think they have to end their life that there is no way out. Please no smart ass comments, just really sit there and ask yourself what is more important right now.
Equal rights including Gay Marriage will come if we unite together. This has not totally happened yet. Not when we have a Republican GOP Proud party wanting to support the ones that want to take our rights away, and thank we are less of human beings as they are. Then we will make more head way on Gay Marriage, and DOMA. We united together for DADT. Lets unite together again and go for the gold!

I am not saying that most straight people put Drag Queens as the face of Gay Bars or night life, but there is a large group of straight people who loved to be entertained by professional female impersonators. Drag Queens have been a fabric of the LGBT Community for more years then I know. Entertainment runs through these performers veins, and sometimes they don't realize how much of an impact they could do for their community if they speak out and work towards it.

I have watched many queens advance to various titles, and have held their own fundraisers to help raise funds to compete in those contests. Could you imagine that if every Drag Queen would pick a cause for LGBT people and help promote that cause? I really think it would give the LGBT a bigger voice, and people would be more aware of subjects that affect us such as gay teen bullying/suicides, Marriage Equality, and Work Place Equality.

I am issuing a challenge out there to all my fellow queens to be pro active in LGBT causes, and to bring more awareness to their fans. Lets help shape the world, and put an end to hate, and bring more awareness to the fact that LGBT people are just that.. People!

Start a blog, ask your fans to be more active and vote on causes that effect us, do a Public Service Announcement on You Tube, do a couple of fundraisers for causes of your choice that affect the LGBT Community. Come on girls we got WERK To DO!

I have been having a few friends before in the past, write blog posts for the Gays Setting The Record Straight Blog, and when I originally set this up a few years back, I was wanting it to be more then just me blogging, and get peoples views and inputs from all of the LGBT Community. For some of you this may come to as a shocker, but I am a gay male who happens to be a Drag Queen. So for me to write about LGBT issues, I am a little bit not so educated on all the LGBT issues, considering I am a Gay Male. I want to have others submit blog posts, like a Lesbian, and some Transgendered people as well.

Some of you I have talked too before and you say you dont have time for a blog, but you would like to do one. Why not write a blog post once a week or every two weeks, and submit them to me to be on the Gays Setting The Record Straight, on the new website.
